Your driver heads east out of Cairo, crosses beneath the Suez Canal through the Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel, then follows the Sinai coastal road south all the way to Sharm El-Sheikh. It is roughly 500 km door to door — typically 6–7 hours at an easy pace, rest stops included.
